Motorcycle daredevil Robbie Knievel makes Texas size jump
The Staff of Clutch and Chrome
June 9th 2008

The SUV may be a burden for the modern day driver, but twenty-one Hummers were perfect for motorcycle daredevil Robbie Knievel over the weekend.

He successfully completed the jump Saturday night at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The jump was organized for twenty-five Hummers originally, but a strong headwind had the distance reduced by four vehicles. Knievel landed off-center on the landing ramp but kept control of the motorcycle.

The 46-year-old Knievel, who has made more than 250 jumps since he was 9 years old, had said this would probably be his last jump in Texas.

Robbie Knievel recently beat a record set by his father at a theme park in Cincinnati Ohio at the end of May.
