A technical end to the German edition of the World Superbike championship motorcycle racing series gave Noriyuki Haga a win which added up to a double victory.

A battle on the track between Noriyuki Haga and teammate Troy Corser was brought to an end by red flags called for rain. Corser was leading the second race but with the count-back rule the race was deemed finished after lap 15, where Haga was ahead of the Australian.

The win was significant after Haga broke his collarbone two weeks ago.

The double win takes Haga's championship points tally to 172 and leaves him 55 shy of leader Troy Bayliss who came second in race one and fourth in the second outing after making mistakes in both legs.
