A motorcycle look back at BMW Motorrad Days

JUL 15, 2015 - If you didn’t have the chance of making it to BMW Motorrad Days in Garmisch-Partenkirchen between 3rd to the 5th of July, or for those lucky enough to attend, the German motorcycle manufacturer has compiled a video of the three-day spectacle.

More than 40,000 motorcycle riders and visitors travelled to the Hausberg mountain under sunny skies and temperatures above 30 degrees among the shades to enjoy a lot of action, shows, lifestyle and of course the Bavarian way of life together with BMW Motorrad.

The event featured local guides to take guests and motorcycle groups through the winding roads around Garmisch-Partenkirchen in half-day or full-day tours. The Garmisch area is one of the most beautiful motorcycle regions in the world.

Test rides for BMW’s street and off road motorcycles, a grand motorcycle parade as well as one for the more classic rides.

The event also featured the launch of the motorcycle club for bikes with more than 100,000 km on the clock. Owners of the four motorcycles with the highest mileage were selected and invited to a special party.

It wasn’t just dedicated BMW riders who attended, the event was a star-studded event with a definite lean towards motorcycles. Isle of Man veteran Maria Costello, speed record rider Valerie Thompson, entertainment allstar Wigald Boning as well as German actress Lisa Tomaschewsky who is currently working for her motorcycle license.
