New Videogame Celebrates Ducati's 90th Anniversary

Ducati have been promising special events and unique ways to mark its 90th anniversary, so it should be too surprising this celebration involves a video game.

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer have announced they are partnering with Milestone, Italy's largest production company of videogames dedicated to the racing world, with developing and distributing the new ‘Ducati - 90th Anniversary The Official Videogame’. You read that correctly, a company called Milestone is creating a videogame to celebrate a milestone.

The game, which will be available for PlayStation4, Xbox One and PC’s, will be available in Gamestop Italia outlets and in digital stores as of June.

The game is promising extensive content with 39 different Ducati models included in the game, 29 of which have never before been seen in a videogame before. All the motorcycles are are divided into 7 eras, from the 1950's to the latest, high-performance Bologna-built bikes.

The game will include the various evolutions of the ‘naked’ par excellence, such as the high-performance Monster S4RS Tricolore. The Superbikes had to be incorporated of course and the videogame line-up includes the 2000 848 and the highly exclusive 2014 1199 Panigale Superleggera as well as the Desmosecidici GP15 ridden by Andrea Doviszioso and many Ducati production milestone models.

A total of five worldwide road tracks will be available to ride on, Stelvio Park, Kanto Temples, Sierra Nevada, French Riviera and North Wales as well as eight faithfully reproduced racetracks Imola, Potrero

Ducati fans who may have noticed a big omission on the list of routes shouldn’t worry, the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli", the setting for so many legendary races as well as the nine editions of World Ducati Week, is also included.

Finally, when riders want to learn more about the famous motorcycles they’re riding, the Ducati Museum will also be included in the videogame. Even for those who may have visited the museum in the past, it’s enjoyed a complete renovation which should be completed in time for WDW2016.

Fans can follow this unique videogame celebration online, through Facebook, the official Youtube channel or of course, social media with the hashtag of #DucatiVideogame.
