IMS Kicks Off Nationwide Tour Of Shows In Long Beach

An escape to the winter-biker blues is about to launch its annual nationwide tour as Progressive International Motorcycle Shows readies for its debut event in Long Beach, California.

The Progressive International Motorcycle Shows (IMS) is considered one of the motorsports industry's must-attend events, if not only for the abundant well-known names attending. The 2017 IMS tour will feature some of the top industry leading manufacturers such as BMW, BRP|Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, Slingshot, Suzuki, Victory, and Yamaha. This allows attendees at the 2017 IMS tour to see new motorcycle models for the first time, enjoy demo rides in select cities and exciting new show attractions.

The 2017 IMS tour is planned to be one of the most interactive yet with many new attractions for attendees to engage on the show floor. An FMX stunt show, temporary airbrush tattoos, live music, competitions and more will provide entertaining experiences for IMS attendees. One of the newest attractions on the 2017 tour is a mobile app and digital interface that will allow consumers to seamlessly interact with main show attractions and participating brands. The swipe of an event pass will allow attendees to win prizes, play games, join activities and share it all in real time socially; improving the attendee experience.

"We expect the 36th annual Progressive International Motorcycle Shows to be one of our most innovative yet,” Tracy Harris, Senior Vice President Powersports Group, explains. “Our show has always been a gathering place, connecting top manufacturers with motorcycle riders, fans, and enthusiasts; while driving trends in the powersports industry."

Other Key attractions include Flo's Chop Shop and Coffee Grinder, J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show and the Kids Zone Presented by Allstate. Featured at all of the stops on the tour, the Inked tattoo parlor, presented in partnership with Inked Magazine, will provide attendees with temporary airbrush tattoos of their choice with options ranging from classic tattoo art to motorcycles and logos. The recently renovated IMS Vintage will display classic and retro motorcycles from across the country in a whole new way.
